Report: Sberbank files 1.1 bln euro suits vs Agrokor – sources

MOSCOW, Aug 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Sberbank has filed three suits with the London Court of International Arbitration against troubled Croatian agricultural holding Agrokor seeking to recover 1.1 billion euros of loans, Bloomberg reported Friday citing unspecified sources.

Agrokor is already involved in court proceedings with Sberbank, its largest creditor, in courts of Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia. According to Bloomberg, Agrokor’s total debt exceeds 6 billion euros.

Sources said Agrokor will take efforts to settle the new suits out of court. A bankruptcy case against the company is slated for October, they added.
